- The *.html means HyperText Mark-up Language. This means that Lynx (or some
- other WWW browser) must interpret it. It contains pointers to other Web
- pages and images. It should be a text file, so most editors/readers should
- be able to show you the "text" of what is there...

- This is a file that a browser could "run", not a C64...

- Serial Line Internet Protocol (SLIP) will allow your machine (C64) to
- communicate over a serial line using the IP part of TCP/IP -- the basis
- of the Internet. With this communication package running, you are
- "hooked up" to the Internet and can use the functions that any Internet
- Host might use (E-Mail, FTP[file transfers directly], NNTP[news directly],
- telnet["login" to other systems], and a whole pletheora of others). These
- other "programs" have yet to be written for a C64 running SLIP, but there
- *IS* that potential...

- : be using Lynx WWW I can use Zmodem. So any files I need can someone
- : point me to a http URL, instead of ftp???
-
- If you are using Lynx, keep it up -- it is easier for now with the C64.
